DIATOMITE

Produce large tons diatomite or diatomaceous earth - also known as DE, TSS, diahydro, kieselguhr, diatomaceous earth or celite.

Rock siliceous marine sedimentary origin, composed of the fossilized remains of microscopic single-celled algae called diatoms, lightweight material with good absorption, extremely porous, low conductivity of heat and electricity, chemically inert, capaza to absorb and retain large amount of liquids, nonmetallic mineral important for various compositions and materials manufactured for use in the farmer, aquaculture and extensive range of thermal products.

Main uses: They are used also to stabilize nitroglycerine and dynamite form therewith.

Other applications, abrasive agent include: metal polishing, in toothpastes and exfoliating creams.

Also serves as a natural pesticide nonpoisonous especially in organic farming: ingestion of silica particles causes lesions in the digestive tract, fixing on the body of the insect will also cause injuries involving death by dehydration.
