Extracted from the yacon root of Peru, this sweet syrup can be used
in the place of sugar or other sweeteners. Low-calorie,
healthy and natural make yacon syrup perfect for sweetening
beverages, baking and cooking.
Yacon syrup is made primarily of the complex sugar inulin.
Because inulin is indigestible and breaks down slowly into
FOS (fructooligosaccharide), yacon syrup is low-calorie, low on the
glycemic index, promotes gut-healthy bacteria and sweet.
Sunnybon's yacon syrup is made from **0% pure, non-GMO yacon root
from Peru. Every step of the manufacturing process is
monitored carefully and carried out according to the good
manufacturing practices to ensure the final product is sanitary and
free of harmful substances. No preservatives or colorants are
used, and the final product undergoes testing to guarantee an FOS
content of at least *5%.
