KAMOKA springs are one of three basic components of suspensions of
modern passenger and delivery cars. KAMOKA springs are compression
springs of following types:
- cylindrical, with constant distance between coils (constant angle
of coil climb) and constant diameter of coil winding,
- pigtail (cylindrical shape) with lower diameter of extreme coils
(support coils) called passive coils and shaping them according to
the shape of embedding points,
- mini block (barrel shape) with changing diameter of rod and
diameter of coil winding that ensure variable characteristics of
the spring and gradual alignment of coils under the encumbering
force; in effect a small length of encumbered spring is
obtained.
Due to relation between encumbrance and deflection, KAMOKA springs
are made with the following characteristics:
