How it works Adathoda Vasica contains alkaloids, vasicine and vasicinone that provide relief from cough, asthma and bronchitis. NEELS ASTHMA TEA as a bronchodilator A bronchodilator is a substance that dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, decreasing airway resistance and thereby facilitating airflow. During an Asthma episode the respiratory passages get congested with excess mucus which obstructs free flow of air. The alkaloid Vasicinone, the auto-oxidation product of vasicine has been reported to cause bronchodilatory effects.
