Professor Khur Suphasiripong has said about the Nang Talung puppet that. Talung figure in the old days was made from the leaf of Mark; one type of the tree originally plant in the south. But since the Mark’s leaf is not so strong and easily damaged, so later, cowhide and buffalo hide has been replaced the Mark’s leaf because it’s more stable and sticky. And later the sculpture has put the Thai style, which is more delicate to the figure. Talung will play Ramayana’s story. A Nang Talung group consists of two main parts. One is "Nai-Nang" , the group leader who leads the operation or the performance in form of puppet showing with simultaneous singing and story narrating . Another part are the musicians who accompany the leader's action. Musical instruments include pipe, drum and gong.
