Product Description

DIN 1.***8 AISI P*0+Ni Pre-hardened Plastic Mould Steel is a pre-hardened grade specially designed for plastic mold industry. Chromium, Molybdenum, Nickel carbon and manganese additions are optimized to have a fully martensite-bainite microstructure after quenching. The high nickel content (1%) is specially adapted to ensure a perfect homogeneity of structure and hardness through thickness even for very thick blocks.

Heat Treatment:

Forge: at **0°C****0°C Cool slowly and anneal immediatedly

Anneal: at **0°C***0°C Cool slowly in furnace

Stress Relieve: at to **0°C***0°C Cool in still air

Harden: Preheat at **0°C***0°C raise to **0°C***0°C Cool in air, iol or into salt bath held at **0°C***0°C and then air or oil cooling according to the steel shape and size.


APPLICATIONS: Mould for TV housings and rear walls, copier housings; shock-absorber moulds; moulds for dashboards and large outside body parts; waste bin moulds; pressure casting frames.

Surface condition: Cracks,decarburisation,burd spots and similar surface defects just within permissible tolerances.
