Cold Work Tool Steel DIN 1.***6,AISI D6 is a high carbon, high chromium tool steel grade offering very high wear resistance with edge holding quality. 
It is an air hardening alloy tool steel.

Heat Treatment:


Forging: ***0°C to **0°C;Cool slowly in furnace or thermoinsulating material

Annealing: at ******0°C;Cool slowly in furnace at a rate of *0 to *0°C/hr down to approx. **0°C;

further cooling in air. Hardness after annealing : max **0HB

Stress Relieving: **0 to **0°C;Cool slowing in furnace

Hardening: ******0°C;


APPLICATIONS: Blanking dies for cutting transformers sheets, paper and plastic blades, deep drawing tools, stamps, moulds for pressing abrasive powders, tools.
