The soft water or other liquid circulates in the cooling coil, where the heat transfer happens via coil surface, and the hot air is dispelled out of cooling tower through the top fans. During this process, most of the vapor will be repelled back into the water basin by PVC structures installed right below the fans.

When the liquid is over hot (higher than the setting temperature), the spray system will start automatically. The spray water capsules the hot coil and takes heat away in the process of evaporation. Parts of the vapor will be taken away by the moving air, the rest is return back to the water basin for reuse. The work fluid runs inside an enclosed circuit without any loss principally, and the actual spray water consumption is only 0.***0.*2‰ of the unit flow rate. The normal water is workable.
