At present, Laiwu Iron &Steel Group successfully installed new type water supply pre-heater that is the initiated product in China for #3 CDQ; which fully meet CDQ process requirement and effectively improve the dry quenching rate and waste heat recovery efficiency; and it can bring annully1,**0,**0RMB economical benefit. The original designed four sets CDQ water supply pre-heater adopts traditional heat pipe exchanger or spiral fin heat exchanger.

The cycling air temperature difference is smaller at inlet and outlet so the heat exchanging effect is poor; which lead to poor cooling effect for coke and coke output temperature is higher that further affect further improvement for dry quenching rate. At the same time, the output coke temperature is so high that it speeds up the aging of the belt and greatly decrease the belt life. Laiwu Iron & Steel cooperated with Shandong Boyu to develop the initiated CDQ new type water supply pre-heater in China, that is CDQ auxiliary economizer and successfully installed in #3 CDQ. Use coil tube structure inside auxiliary economizer, use H fin structure to extend the heating receiving area and use return water to heat inlet water to improve auxiliary inlet water temperature for avoiding corrosion.( article source: Shangang Group)
