ANTI BLOCKING AGENT MR***1 USES Low Pressure Melamine Designed to be used as an additive in to resin systems used for paper impregnation and laminating to reduce/prevent moisture pickup of the treated paper which leads to papers sticking together on storage, a phenomenon known as blocking. ADDITION RATE Low Pressure Melamine It can be added at a level of up to 2% into the first stage UF/MUF. If it is added at this level into the first stage then this should only be done on light colours or white since the addition level could cause milkiness in the finished prepreg. The UF/MUF first stage resins are generally more prone to picking up moisture on storage than the second stage MF resin, hence the addition into the first stage resin.
